Project Manager

The WCET is delighted to update you on exciting developments as it partners with the New Zealand Christian Proprietors Trust, the Christian Schools' Trust, the Christian Education Trust and the Peniel Trust.
This group of Trusts has appointed Mark Larson as the Project Manager to move this work forward.

Mark Larson is CEO for the Association of Integrated Schools Aotearoa NZ, CEO for the Christian Schools' Trust (Proprietor of four schools and two Early Childhood Centres in Canterbury) and a Trustee of the NZ Christian Proprietors Trust which is a Proprietor for eight schools across New Zealand.

Mark Larson trained as a Secondary School teacher and worked for 20 years in a mid to low decile co-ed State High School in Christchurch finishing as Deputy Principal.

From 1999 - 2010 Mark was Principal at Middleton Grange School, a Year 1 to 13 non-denominational Christian school with approximately 1400 students. Mark has also been involved in alternative education and the Early Childhood sector.

Mark helped pioneer the Christian Education Network in Canterbury involving seven Christian Schools with associate members including Christian Schools in Dunedin, Timaru and Marlborough.

In recent times Mark has also undertaken consultancy in areas such as Principal appointment and appraisal, School Special Character Reviews and other governance support.

Mark has been involved in the establishment of new schools (Rolleston Christian School) and the Integration of others (Jireh School, Hamilton Christian School, KingsView School and Motueka Steiner School).

Christchurch born and bred, Mark is married to Anne and together they share 4 adult tamariki and 13 mokopuna.
